About Us

Glad Hatter is an independent millinery business based in Oxfordshire, owned and run by milliner Julia Jamieson.

First launched in 2018, Glad Hatter grew from Julia's decision to exchange a twenty-year career as a probate solicitor for a more creative life.

After an exciting start, including being shortlisted to exhibit a personally designed hat at The Great Hat Exhibition during London Hat Week 2020, Julia returned to legal practice during the pandemic.

In late 2025, Glad Hatter was re-energised and relaunched, with a renewed focus on beautifully handcrafted occasion hats and fascinators. Each piece is created with care and attention to detail, designed to enhance and compliment your outfit. For those seeking something truly personal, Julia offers a bespoke design service, working closely with you to create a hat that makes you feel fabulous for your special occasion.
